2008, j\u2019envoie plusieurs courriers \u00e9lectroniques, avec pour objet \u00ab&nbsp;Op\u00e9ration Super Loire&nbsp;\u00bb, accompagn\u00e9s de ces images \u00e0 diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9missions radiophoniques de France Inter, notamment <em>Parking de Nuit<\/em> et <em>Au d\u00e9tour du monde<\/em>. Dans l\u2019un de ces messages, j\u2019\u00e9cris :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u2014 \u00ab De la berge de ma gamberge, je vous suis.<br>Je vous joins quelques photos de la super Loire&nbsp;! \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Le vendredi 31 octobre 2008, dans un message adress\u00e9 \u00e0 <em>Au d\u00e9tours du monde<\/em>, j\u2019\u00e9cris :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u2014 \u00ab Pour celui qui d\u00e9bute, nous allons nous mettre en mode \u201ccarr\u00e9-soleil\u201d, en couveuse : par mille chemins, et nous permettre de bronzer&nbsp;! \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Le m\u00eame jour, \u00e0 21 h 30 pr\u00e9cise, pendant l\u2019\u00e9mission <em>Parking de Nuit<\/em>, j\u2019envoie un seul mot dans l\u2019espace des commentaires :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u2014 \u00ab Soleil \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Plus tard dans la soir\u00e9e, dans les commentaires de l\u2019\u00e9mission <em>All\u00f4 la plan\u00e8te<\/em> de France Inter, j\u2019\u00e9cris :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u2014 \u00ab Kiss\u00e9 ? En duvet embrass\u00e9 Aloha la plan\u00e8te. \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00c9v\u00e8nement ult\u00e9rieur (m\u00e9moire r\u00e9v\u00e9latrice)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lors du week-end de la Toussaint, d\u00e9but novembre 2008, une crue importante de la Loire survient, rappelant par son ampleur les grandes crues historiques du fleuve.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le 2 novembre 2008, Madelyn Dunham, grand-m\u00e8re maternelle de Barack Obama, d\u00e9c\u00e8de \u00e0 Hawa\u00ef.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Intensification<\/strong>&nbsp;: au moment de l\u2019annonce du d\u00e9c\u00e8s de Madelyn Dunham sur l\u2019antenne de France Inter, l\u2019information est suivie en contrepoint de celle de la crue de la Loire. La pr\u00e9sentatrice conclut son \u00e9dition du soir en pr\u00e9cisant :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u2014 \u00ab Pour ceux qui y voient un signe \u00bb.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Le 3 novembre 2008, dans un discours de campagne \u00e0 Charlotte, en Caroline du Nord, Barack Obama laisse appara\u00eetre une larme en \u00e9voquant sa grand-m\u00e8re.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le 4 novembre 2008, Barack Obama est \u00e9lu 44\u1d49 pr\u00e9sident des \u00c9tats-Unis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lecture cin\u00e9scriptographique (a posteriori)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Relus apr\u00e8s ces \u00e9v\u00e9nements, les aper\u00e7us dessinent une trajectoire fluide organis\u00e9e autour de l\u2019eau, du d\u00e9placement et du changement d\u2019\u00e9chelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Loire appara\u00eet d\u2019abord comme un espace de m\u00e9moire et de circulation : gabarres immobiles, barque l\u00e9g\u00e8re, distances grav\u00e9es, crue ancienne inscrite dans la pierre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La ligne d\u2019oies au bord du fleuve introduit une figure de portage et d\u2019alignement, entre sol et eau, entre stabilit\u00e9 et mouvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les inscriptions photographi\u00e9es \u2014 niveaux de crue, distances \u2014 installent un rapport au temps long, aux seuils, aux passages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les envois radiophoniques dessinent ensuite un d\u00e9placement sans d\u00e9placement : du refuge nocturne (<em>Parking de Nuit<\/em>), au cheminement (<em>Au d\u00e9tours du monde<\/em>), jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle plan\u00e9taire (<em>All\u00f4 la plan\u00e8te<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le mot \u00ab Soleil \u00bb, envoy\u00e9 seul, agit comme un d\u00e9clencheur minimal.<br>La formule \u00ab Aloha la plan\u00e8te \u00bb marque une bascule vers un ailleurs insulaire, oc\u00e9anique, lointain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La m\u00e9moire r\u00e9v\u00e9latrice \u2014 crue du fleuve, d\u00e9c\u00e8s \u00e0 Hawa\u00ef, \u00e9lection pr\u00e9sidentielle \u2014 ne valide aucune intention. In one of these messages, I write:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u2014\u201cFrom the bank of my own wandering mind, I follow you.<br>I\u2019m sending you small photos of the great Loire&nbsp;!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>On Friday, October 31, 2008, at 8:59 p.m., in another message addressed to <em>Au d\u00e9tour du monde<\/em>, I write:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u2014\u201cFor the weekend that is beginning, we are going to switch into \u2018sun-square\u2019 mode, in an incubator: along a thousand paths, allowing ourselves to tan!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>That same Friday, October 31, 2008, during the radio program <em>Parking de Nuit<\/em>, I send a single word at exactly 9:30 p.m. in the message space:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u2014\u201cSun\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Later that night, I write again in the comment space of the program <em>All\u00f4 la plan\u00e8te<\/em> on France Inter:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u2014\u201cKiss\u00e9? Wrapped in down, kissed. Aloha, planet.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Subsequent event (revealing memory)<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>During the All Saints\u2019 Day weekend in early November 2008, a major flooding of the Loire River occurs, recalling in its scale the great historical floods of the river.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On November 2, 2008, Madelyn Dunham, Barack Obama\u2019s maternal grandmother, dies in Hawaii.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Intensification:<\/strong> At the moment Madelyn Dunham\u2019s death is announced on France Inter, the information is immediately followed, in counterpoint, by a report on the flooding of the Loire. The presenter concludes her evening broadcast by adding:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u2014 \u201cfor those who see a sign.\u201d <br>(Note: In French, the word \u201csigne\u201d (sign) is homophonous with \u201ccygne\u201d (swan), a resonance echoed by the presence of birds in the images.)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On November 3, 2008, during a campaign speech in Charlotte, North Carolina, Barack Obama allows a tear to appear as he speaks of his grandmother.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On November 4, 2008, Barack Obama is elected the 44th President of the United States.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cinescriptographic reading (a posteriori)<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Read after these events, the glimpses organize themselves around movements of water, passage, elevation, and transmission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The photographs taken along the Loire compose a geography of circulation: locks, islands, distances, boats, riverbanks, and historical flood markers.<br>They inscribe a memory of rising water and long trajectories, from inland sources toward the open sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The emails and messages trace another form of movement: a virtual itinerary through radio spaces, shifting from one program to another, from night shelter to travel, from incubation to ignition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The single word \u201cSun,\u201d sent at a precise moment, acts as a trigger.<br>What follows is displacement: a change of latitude, a leap toward the Pacific, toward Hawaii.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The death of Madelyn Dunham, announced on the eve of the election, introduces a break: a private loss within a global historical moment.<br>The election of Barack Obama follows, carrying with it the image of a world crossed, transformed, and set in motion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The presidential election marks a shift at the surface: for the first time, a Black body occupies the visible center of a historically white power structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This cinescriptographer does not narrate a political event.
