aper\u00e7us s\u2019organisent autour d\u2019un m\u00eame r\u00e9gime aquatique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019eau y est omnipr\u00e9sente : eau du large, eau du fil, eau de la d\u00e9rive, eau du La baleine n\u2019est ni spectacle ni m\u00e9taphore : elle est un corps rencontr\u00e9, heurt\u00e9, impr\u00e9vu, hors champ jusqu\u2019au choc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le poisson rouge, le petit Poucet, le kayak : autant de figures modestes, fragiles, non h\u00e9ro\u00efques, qui avancent par persistance plut\u00f4t que par conqu\u00eate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le rire (<em>\u201con rigole bien avec vous\u201d<\/em>) se d\u00e9ploie ici sur fond de canal et d\u2019\u00e9cluses : une rigole, au sens hydraulique du terme, o\u00f9 la circulation est lente, r\u00e9gl\u00e9e, segment\u00e9e \u2014 \u00e0 l\u2019oppos\u00e9 du large.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La course autour du monde devient alors moins un exploit qu\u2019une travers\u00e9e expos\u00e9e, o\u00f9 l\u2019on progresse au fil, o\u00f9 l\u2019on peut arriver sans \u00eatre parti, ou partir sans jamais arriver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce cin\u00e9scriptographe ne documente pas la comp\u00e9tition. Il en enregistre la mati\u00e8re sensible : l\u2019eau, le choc, la lenteur, la d\u00e9rive, et la possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019une arriv\u00e9e hors classement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 is omnipresent: open-sea water, thread-water, drifting water, collision water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The source phrases trace a minimal navigation: arriving by kayak, following the thread of the water, moving forward quietly, without visible engine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The figure of the cetacean appears very early, in cinematic form, and then returns in reality, through the collisions reported during the race. The whale is neither spectacle nor metaphor: it is a body encountered, struck, unforeseen, off-screen until the impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goldfish, Little Thumb, the kayak: so many modest, fragile, non-heroic figures, advancing through persistence rather than conquest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Laughter (<em>\u201cwe have a good laugh with you\u201d<\/em>) unfolds here against a backdrop of canal and locks: a channel (a gutter), in the hydraulic sense of the term, where traffic is slow, regulated, segmented \u2014 the opposite of the open sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The round-the-world race thus becomes less an exploit than an exposed crossing, where one progresses by drifting, where one may arrive without having departed, or depart without ever arriving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This cinescriptographer does not document competition.
